Position

One (1) full time IT translator and Project Manager, Guangzhou Guangdong

Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming quote requests and phone calls, and follow up on open quotes
• Set and oversee project budgets, timelines, and specifications
• Plan, schedule and monitor the progress of multiple simultaneous projects
• Manage and coordinate translators, editors and DTP specialists
• Recruit translators
• Translate into Chinese from English
• Contact clients for post-project survey 

Employment Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science
• Effective communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Attention to detail and very strong organizational skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Proficient computer skills, interested in learning new technologies and tools
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience with Adobe design suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) an asset
• Experience with translation memory tools (SDL Trados, Kilgary memoQ) an asset
• Other languages proficiency an asset
