Hands On Position for IT company (Localization)

Changning District Street, Shanghai

Responsibilities

•  Hands on work with Engineering Teams
•   Capture localized documentation screen shots based on steps documented in the English document.
• Perform  translation verification testing- based on provided test cases, report and verify translation bugs in specified bug report system;
• Broad understanding of various technologies and applications used in the localization process (Trados,TMWIN I18N and L10N tools, DTP tools etc.)
• Communication with localization company as required
• Understanding of basic concepts of glossary compilations, TM creation and maintenance required.
• Translate and proofread product UI and documentation including manuals, on-line help, release notes within project deadlines from English to Simplified Chinese/Traditional Chinese
•  Certified linguist is ideal
• Desktop Publishing knowledge (Examples- Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign etc.)
• Work in a team environment to deliver quality product to China market. 

Requirements

•  BS or MS in English or Computer Science
• At least 1 year software localization experience;
• Familiar with translation tools Trados or TM/WIN and Localization Process;
• Experience with different documentation formats, such as Word, Framemaker, HTML, XML, resource files, Photoshop, Illustrator;
• Able to handle InDesign and Photoshop related DTP works and flash localization
• Great communication skills;
• Self-motivated and great team player;
• Able to handle multitasking. 

Onsite Contract- Full time (2 year)- flexible to overtime and weekends when needed

Start date- As soon as possible. (March at the latest)

Salary: 10K (RMB) per month
