Beijing E-C Translation(BEC), one of the largest translation and localization service providers in Asia, celebrated its 10th anniversary at the beautiful seaside Beidai River in China. Staff from branches flew in to gather together, sharing the happiness of success and expectations for a brighter future.

In addition to a celebration banquet and campfire evening party with lots of fireworks and wonderful performances by the staff, a conference forum was held in order to strengthen communication and cooperation among staff in all of the locales. More than 150 staff chose their topics of interest among 14 sessions to participate in to discuss how to further improve the company.

The conference began with an all-staff session with the theme of “Past, Present and Future,” presented by the president of E-C Translation, Dr. James Wei. He first reviewed the milestones and the significant growth in business and resources in the past ten years. But the main goal was to summarize the factors that contributed to the past achievements in order to set the work priorities for the present and to make BEC a world-class provider with world-class status in the future. After the history reviews and introductions of the offices in Beijing, Shenyang, Chengdu, Shanghai, and Singapore by their CEOs, it was clear that this 10th anniversary marks the beginning of the next fruitful and rewarding ten years.

Other sessions were categorized into operation process, project management, translation and DTP experience and skills, tools application, competitive capability enhancement and brand-building strategy. The staff were actively involved in each of the sessions -- enthusiastically raising questions, expressing opinions, and sharing their experiences.

The celebration moved to the banquet in the evening. President James Wei, together with the staff who have the same birth date as the company, were invited to the stage to blow out candles and cut birthday cake while the staff sang the happy birthday song. It was a really touching moment and everybody was deeply moved by the harmonious family atmosphere. Then a champagne toast brought everyone into the sumptuous dinner.

The ceremony reached its climax with an exciting performance presented by the company staff. Twenty programs, including comedy sketches, comic dialogues, singing, and Taiji sword and boxing performances, demonstrated the versatility of the staff of E-C Translation. The party was full of laughing, music, and great happiness.

The ceremony provided a precious opportunity to communicate with each other on the past achievements and future outlook. With an outstanding ten years of experience as the beginning, all of the staff at E-C Translation will continue to work hand in hand toward a brighter future.
