Welocalize unveils open-source roadmap for GlobalSight
Welocalize, a provider of integrated globalization services, has released an open-source roadmap for its GlobalSight translation management system. A 12-person development team has been working on transitioning the product to open source by replacing several third-party software components with open-source equivalents. The team completed the initial open-source build on September 27, 2008. The Alpha release is scheduled on October 20, 2008; the Beta release on November 20, 2008; integration testing on November 20-December 31; and the final release on January 5, 2009.
